Lost in the Groove Podcast

long way What I mean by this is they could travel from dimensions. So like even though that like supposedly the ball just dropped, and that's all they saw, and she claims that her experience was 18 hours, it could be that ball that she was in. like They had this like device where it had these rings that kind of like rotated, and they created like this massive energy.

00:30.25

stopppp

and

00:30.98

Lost in the Groove Podcast

So as the ball is dropping, she's being pushed out of this realm and being pushed into that realm. Maybe in that realm, 18 hours for us is like 28 seconds.

00:46.39

stopppp

ah I mean, ah yeah, I feel you. Anything's possible, you know? I think it's cool how we all like feel like we know.

00:58.06

stopppp

We're like, what about?

00:58.57

Lost in the Groove Podcast

I'm not saying that we know, I'm just saying that idea. You know, I don't know if it's real, but...

01:03.46

stopppp

Do you think like wherever they live, It's like so much fucking better that like they don't even care about what we're doing here.

01:15.90

stopppp

Like they do a little bit like not really.

01:19.97

stopppp

It's ah and then I also I also like the idea of like, you know, like what if it's like not OK, so like let's say there's like a whole like alien like world, OK?

01:33.08

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Uh-huh.

01:33.14

stopppp

And there's like a country, OK, whatever they call it in their situation.

01:38.76

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Zanzibar.

01:40.32

stopppp

Zanzibah is like the the governing city and they make all the rules and shit and they've got all the like you know airplanes or spaceships and they fly them to different places and whatever else what's not to say that like some fucktard out of the bunch decided that they were going to fly off to another place and start fucking with people

01:41.16

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Zanzibar. Yeah.

01:45.28

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Oh well.

02:07.27

stopppp

you know like I'm not saying that like how do you know that it's the person in charge that made the decisions like it could always be like a rogue person that's just like on their own because it always seems strange to me that like the aliens affect us in like small numbers like they'll they'll come in like a little ship or like two aliens or like you know like it's always odd to me that it's like why isn't it like

02:31.02

Lost in the Groove Podcast

They like the compact, you know, the compact SUV, honey. Like, the shit you get from Alamo for $49.99. Okay? It's not near the airport. It's not near the airport. You gotta do a little bit of walking, but it's $49.99 per day.

02:48.96

stopppp

I don't know I mean and it's interesting too how like we always like throw around this idea of like the mothership but like no one has ever said anything like that like it's always just been like one ah like individual ship but it's in like tons of different movies that there's like a giant motherfucking ship

03:07.98

Lost in the Groove Podcast

a mother shit yeah yeah i mean particularly with close encounters the reason i like i said because like i kind of got into this thing like i just started renting movies and i rented those too yeah and i you know i kind of enjoyed contact more than i did close encounters but like

03:19.62

stopppp

I love them.

03:27.89

Lost in the Groove Podcast

What is interesting is like, it's possible that other forms of intelligence may have the same thought of, are we alone in this universe?

03:40.60

Lost in the Groove Podcast

And they may have other forms of communication that we're not familiar to. Or they may live in parallel universes to ours.

03:52.63

stopppp

You love that.

03:53.14

Lost in the Groove Podcast

You know, yeah, because like,

03:55.69

stopppp

i'm i'm ah I don't like the idea of it, you know?

03:59.15

Lost in the Groove Podcast

I know, like, cause it's non-like, churchy and god, it's like very like, atheistic and non-believer.

04:03.50

stopppp

o No, I am. I genuinely just can't picture. Like, to me, it seems illogical, not so much that it's not Christian. It just kind of, I don't know, I don't see the two things happening at once. I've always been a believer that and Once you go down one timeline and the other one cease to exist because you didn't go down it. So it's not being created anymore.

04:30.22

Lost in the Groove Podcast

when you go in front of a mirror.

04:33.37

stopppp

It's not about religion though, David.

04:34.01

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Okay.

04:34.93

stopppp

I really just don't think it makes sense.

04:35.57

Lost in the Groove Podcast

No, no. Okay, I gave this example once before. If you go in front of a mirror, What you're seeing is a two-dimensional image of yourself. So in and of itself, it's a replication. We live in what's called, I think, fourth? No. Yeah, we're in the fourth dimension. But within the fourth dimension, there is the third dimension. but Within the third dimension, there is a second dimension. Within our own realities, there are parallel parts to those.

05:15.02

Lost in the Groove Podcast

So I don't disagree with you, but I don't totally agree with you.

05:17.79

stopppp

Well, well, yeah, but those are like, those are perspectives.

05:26.66

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Yeah.

05:28.05

stopppp

I mean, if you want to call it a ah perspective, a timeline, I mean, that's not the word for timeline, but you could.

05:33.55

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Well, it could almost be the opposite side of the mirror where it's

05:42.95

stopppp

There's the opposite side. It's just a reflection.

05:47.24

Lost in the Groove Podcast

No, no, no, I'm saying okay. When I say the opposite side of the mirror is I know that I'm just using that as an analogy.

05:51.88

stopppp

The mirror doesn't have functioning eyeballs. You do. It doesn't look back at you. It doesn't have eyeballs that interpret. It's just a reflection of you.

06:04.00

Lost in the Groove Podcast

I'm not saying an actual physical like mirror.

06:07.50

stopppp

And I feel like people don't think that. Like, I don't know. It's weird.

06:13.13

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Okay.

06:15.55

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Better way of putting it. whenever you you've been to, you've obviously been to lakes before, right? Okay. There's a point of where you can look at a ah lake that's pretty still, and you can see the reflection of whatever is on the other side.

06:36.81

Lost in the Groove Podcast

And you're correct, that is a completely a reflection.

06:36.92

stopppp

birth.

06:41.47

Lost in the Groove Podcast

What I was getting at, particularly with alien species, it's almost where we live in the realm

06:50.08

Lost in the Groove Podcast

that physically sees that other side. Where the water is, there may be another gateway or pathway to another place.

07:01.39

Lost in the Groove Podcast

So it's like almost it's in our universe. But it's like, like almost like, it's kind of like you have to access it.

07:08.61

stopppp

the you

07:13.29

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Because it's on the other side.

07:15.17

stopppp

was definitely There's definitely like a physical you know and like and I told you that one time I did mushrooms and I saw like the visible layers of light as if they're like material

07:15.22

Lost in the Groove Podcast

I'm not saying that it, yeah.

07:30.10

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Yeah. Yeah.

07:33.98

stopppp

So I have seen something that kind of makes that sound right. Like I kind of, yeah, there is like,

07:48.31

stopppp

you're, you're like, you're reaching through it right now.

07:48.30

Lost in the Groove Podcast

It's not necessary. It's unnecessary.

07:52.59

stopppp

Like it's like, it's an energy.

07:53.03

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Yeah.

07:56.92

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Force or field.

07:57.31

stopppp

yeah it is it's it's four-dimensional it's true it is i don't know when i was there in that headspace and i saw that stuff i didn't try to figure out too much of it i just admired its beauty i didn't be like wait well what does all this mean so i don't know but i did discover that there was more than what i knew

08:31.68

stopppp

Louie wants my food. and

08:34.91

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Damn. No, it's just like it.

08:41.87

Lost in the Groove Podcast

It's one of those things where are I heard this from a scientist and I think this is the most like incredible way of putting this. She said that we have only explored 5% of our own oceans. She said if you took a 12 litre 12 ounce glass and filled it up with water,

09:04.43

stopppp

No, because the ocean's so deep.

09:04.54

Lost in the Groove Podcast

and you see no fish in there. Yeah, so you don't see any fish in there. Does that mean that there's no fish in the ocean? No, obviously there is. You've just taken out a very small part of it and checked it. you know Our understanding is very limited. It's almost to the point that like we can only understand what we already understand. It's that simple, like literally.

09:35.19

stopppp

I just think it's weird that aliens would like abduct people.

09:35.64

Lost in the Groove Podcast

We can't comprehend things we don't understand, we just don't.

09:41.37

stopppp

Like they want to like abduct someone.

09:46.16

stopppp

I don't know. And then ET is like a whole other idea where it's like the alien just got like straight up dropped off, you know, and he's like kind of almost like stranded.

09:56.82

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Yeah, and he's kind of, I mean, he's kind of adorable, kind of not, kind of freaky, kind of weird.

10:04.41

stopppp

Yeah, I don't know how they got away with that. I don't think I was alive when ET came out.

10:07.30

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Yeah, it was like.

10:09.77

stopppp

I think it was:

10:12.97

stopppp

But ET was really popular as I was like growing up and everybody loved him and my sisters used to love to take me and put me like in a hoodie and wrap me up and put me in like the basket and like ride around and act like I was ET, you know?

10:28.60

Lost in the Groove Podcast

E T.

10:28.82

stopppp

because I was the little baby sister. Then they would make me say that and like put my finger out and stuff.

10:32.39

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Yeah.

10:34.88

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Oh, my God.

10:35.71

stopppp

They loved it.

10:37.13

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Oh my God, that's hilarious.

10:38.15

stopppp

They used to make me act like E.T. yeah

10:40.69

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Oh my God.

10:43.84

Lost in the Groove Podcast

What we live for. But, you know, i I think Louis sees an alien.

10:48.86

stopppp

but but but but but but You know, I'm scared because I can't hear anything.

10:57.53

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Chris, are you being an abducted right now? Like, are there aliens entering your room?

10:59.65

stopppp

I'm listening. but It's probably just like your voice through the headphone, but he is quite distracting, isn't he?

11:02.71

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Like, no. Oh my God. Chris is officially getting abducted.

11:11.32

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Well, he can be distracting, but he's just darn adorable. But back to aliens, all right?

11:18.64

stopppp

I feel like that um Men in Black movie was really popular when I was a kid, too.

11:19.78

Lost in the Groove Podcast

They're real. They're definitely real.

11:24.97

Lost in the Groove Podcast

I think also like there is this bit of understanding where it's possible that just like us, They may research other planets for information. And whether we may consider ourselves intelligent to other alien species, we may not be considered intelligent.

11:42.63

stopppp

yeah

11:42.74

Lost in the Groove Podcast

They may view us the same way we view buffalo and cow. You know, they they don't view us.

11:47.93

stopppp

Well, because some of us are quite...

11:52.97

Lost in the Groove Podcast

But.

11:53.80

stopppp

Some humans are pretty rough, dude. Like, I've met frat bros.

11:57.73

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Oh, yeah.

11:58.94

stopppp

Some frat bros are dumb as fuck.

12:02.03

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Yeah, bro. They like, they be on 5%, like 365 days a year.

12:09.06

stopppp

Like, they might as well be a cow. And some women?

12:12.43

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Yeah, but it's also, I've noticed something too.

12:14.02

stopppp

Have you seen some women? Some women are dumb as fuck. You know? God.

12:24.51

Lost in the Groove Podcast

A lot of women today, particularly for even myself, There's like a lot of vulnerability, but to the point like they're willing to throw themselves out there. It's like we as a society keep on forgetting we're human beings. We're technically animals. Like we've done and really incredible things and we're intelligent, but I don't know if other species or things see us that way. Like

12:59.12

Lost in the Groove Podcast

I don't know, bro. Like if I was a super being and I looked at humans, I'd be like...

13:08.87

stopppp

It's always like our second podcast where I'm like, I need the snack. I have, you know, all the goodies have hit my system and I'm like, I need, I need it much. Okay. I'm muting so that I can blow my nose because it's allergy season.

13:24.14

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Okay, enjoy. But... that was a kind of thing um I found kind of interesting too is where you have a lot of these different stories and told from like different narratives like I've told you this before like one of my favorite sci fi films is alien.

13:44.59

Lost in the Groove Podcast

I love alien like cannot watch the movie at night unless there's a nightlight on or some type of light because but

13:54.78

stopppp

You think it's that scary, really? I don't know. I mean, I think it's exciting, but I don't know if I would explain it as scary. Like, I like it.

14:05.99

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Okay, have you watched A Clockwork's on Orange?

14:09.04

stopppp

A clock we're born just scary.

14:11.47

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Mm-hmm.

14:12.86

stopppp

Yeah. yeah why and Do you think that that's sci-fi?

14:14.73

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Okay.

14:17.88

stopppp

I mean, it is, but it's also like American literature.

14:22.80

Lost in the Groove Podcast

I hate to say this honestly, but that movie is kind of darn accurate because we like Yeah, it's from a 70s lens, but it's so relatable to date.

14:34.49

Lost in the Groove Podcast

like As of:

14:36.12

stopppp

Is it?

14:42.20

stopppp

measure It's so hard when I was...

14:48.09

stopppp

When I was, I believe, a junior or senior in high school, I took an English class and there was a a list of books that I was allowed to do a book report on. And I had always been intrigued by A Clockwork Orange because of the The look of it, I really liked the the character's eyelashes.

15:12.75

stopppp

I really liked the makeup in the movie. And I had always been interested. They look so scary, the the men in white. And i I was always intrigued by them.

15:24.24

Lost in the Groove Podcast

A drink at the milk bar.

15:26.28

stopppp

Yeah the men and how they wore those like white uniforms and they they're all like uniform and they had this just like very intimidating look to them.

15:26.47

Lost in the Groove Podcast

The milk bar!

15:37.90

stopppp

So I was interested in what they were. um But I read the book and I read the book and it was disturbing, but it was readable. But the book itself is very, very different from um the the movie than this because there's core things that were changed about the character in the movie as compared to the book.

16:05.24

stopppp

And there's core

16:06.30

Lost in the Groove Podcast

for obvious for obvious reasons.

16:08.01

stopppp

course core things and poor and core reasons that they change things. And in the movie, he's a horrible person, but you end up feeling somewhat sorry for him in the end. But in the book, he's a horrible person and you wish that he got burned to death more aggressively than he did.

16:35.44

stopppp

He didn't burn to death, but you wish that he did. And you hate him ah when you read it. But then when you watch it through Hollywood's eyes, you end up feeling kind of almost like you like him. But in the book, you hate him. He's wretched. He's horrible. And when I watch, because I read the book,

16:57.67

stopppp

And I was like, it'll be it'll be rough, you know, and I was ready. And they actually cut out the most aggressive scene in the entire movie.

17:08.95

stopppp

There's a.

17:09.19

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Honey, there are again, there are very obvious reasons why they did this.

17:15.78

stopppp

they did not follow the book because in the book, which was not written by Stanley Kubrick, it was written by a random ass dude.

17:16.20

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Like.

17:23.51

stopppp

um And he's quite interesting, the man that wrote that book. I i learned a lot of interesting stuff about him and Clockwork Orange, that writer, he created a language um and he has an entire slang language um that is used throughout the entire Clockwork Orange book.

17:46.97

stopppp

And then in the back of the Clockwork Orange book, there is like a, ah like a a dictionary, but what do they call it? It's, you know, like if if you an index, but no, I mean, ah it, it translates all of their slang.

17:57.23

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Index glossary.

18:02.75

stopppp

um Yeah, but it'd be like if you wanted to, you know, speak French in France and you'd carry around a little book, this little translator book.

18:12.31

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Mm hmm.

18:14.33

stopppp

um It's in the back and it it breaks down all of their Um, slang. And so they talk in that slang throughout the entire book and ah you genuinely kind of need to know what the things mean.

18:27.35

stopppp

So you'll flip to the back ah to understand it and it's kind of very interesting. Um, o I have so much to say about A Clockwork Orange. It's, I guess it left a lasting impression on me in multiple different ways.

18:42.28

Lost in the Groove Podcast

It's and again, I think the reason is is because even though the story is old, it's a story that explains the way society feels and the way that people react in a way that sometimes is really violent. Like we talked in the last last episode, we're just a little brief recap. You have this dude that supposedly comes from like this upper class family. well and he murders a man in cold blood, okay?

19:16.86

Lost in the Groove Podcast

And people are viewing him as a hero.

19:23.50

Lost in the Groove Podcast

You know what I'm saying? Like, there is that almost like connection of like, you feel something when you, I've watched a movie. I've never had any interest of reading the book.

19:35.51

Lost in the Groove Podcast

I don't know why, I still don't. But there was like an,

19:38.46

stopppp

That's fucking nuts man.

19:41.52

Lost in the Groove Podcast

The movie left an everlasting impression on me because

19:46.25

stopppp

Oh, you should read that book, man. It's damn good. I'm even thinking about rereading it right, right now. Like I'm thinking like I need to, because I have a copy of it somewhere, but I'm just gonna go on that Abe, Abe books, Abe books, you know, I told you about that.

20:05.70

stopppp

and dot com and you can get a book for like $4.99 like shipped to your house like the exact book you want and they're just like used books from different libraries and schools and stuff like that but it's like you can get any

20:19.68

Lost in the Groove Podcast

They have some really old stuff.

20:22.18

stopppp

Any book you want is really cool, but in A Clockwork Orange, in the book, the opening scene, the gang breaks into a candy store um and they beat the fuck out of the the young woman that li that works there at the candy store.

20:41.20

stopppp

And she's just a regular, you know, lady like me or something and they just annihilate her for no fucking reason. And they like run a big train on her. They all fuck her.

20:52.29

stopppp

And then they smash her head with the cash register. And that's how the book starts. I mean, it's just fucking vile as fuck. And they never, they didn't put that in the movie at all.

21:01.55

Lost in the Groove Podcast

So the. ah ah Again, like, yeah.

21:04.73

stopppp

It's so wretched. they I mean, I assume they just thought everyone would get up and walk right out if that was the first five minutes of the movie.

21:10.52

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Yeah.

21:12.57

stopppp

And when I watched, and I didn't know anything, but when I watched A Clockwork Orange, I turned it off. I was so bothered. um And then I thought to myself, all right, like,

21:27.79

stopppp

everybody says it's really good like I should probably you know see it through but I turned it off multiple times like and and just kind of sat there now I watched it alone so I could kind of like do it on my own pace but it's very bothersome um I

21:44.98

Lost in the Groove Podcast

it's a very gruesome It's a very gruesome story. i mean it

21:47.55

stopppp

don't know if it's okay to put those kinds of things out into the world to be honest like but

21:55.61

Lost in the Groove Podcast

there is a

21:56.94

stopppp

I don't know.

21:57.26

Lost in the Groove Podcast

ou even take something like a:

21:58.40

stopppp

I do appreciate it.

22:13.43

Lost in the Groove Podcast

of humanity. I mean they like:

22:49.28

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Holy shit.

22:53.70

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Yeah, but I definitely like know where you're going from. I ah personally when I watched.

23:00.31

stopppp

Hollywood didn't even really like a clockwork.

23:00.34

Lost in the Groove Podcast

A clock works.

23:02.97

stopppp

I mean, they Hollywood did not like Stanley Kubrick.

23:09.81

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Yeah, I mean, the man later on made the fucking Shining. Like, you know, I'm just, yeah, I think it was Stanley Kubrick. It was, obviously, it was a Stephen King now um novel, but it was just, the man was cuckoo bananas, all right? That's what I'm trying to get at. Like, a lot of these people, you know what, I hate to say this, but Maybe that is what the aliens are fascinated about.

23:38.42

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Is the humans that are cuckoo bananas. Like the ones that are really motherfucking sick and ill. Because it seems like they seem to be the ones that make really fucking great films.

23:45.43

stopppp

oh

23:49.56

Lost in the Groove Podcast

I mean like, quit-

23:50.59

stopppp

I don't know there was like I watched this thing a little bit ago and you it

23:56.64

Lost in the Groove Podcast

I'm so addicted to these chessmans. It's insane.

24:00.03

stopppp

I know. I had to stop eating. I was like, I can wait like until the podcast is done and I can stuff my face. like I couldn't.

24:08.16

Lost in the Groove Podcast

I can't I'm sorry.

24:10.33

stopppp

I ate quite a few chips at the very beginning just to like fill my empty hole. oh I can't remember what the fuck I was going to tell all these wonderful people about.

24:23.13

stopppp

When we were talking about aliens, I watched this thing on i you know netflix or whatever where they interviewed all these different people who had been abducted by aliens and there was this woman there's somebody put like a spring inside of her nose um So she got abducted by aliens overnight and when she came back her nose hurt like really fucking bad. And she went to the hospital a few days later and they did like an x-ray and there's like a metal object that looks kind of like a small spring. Like, you know, like you would find like on

25:06.93

stopppp

I don't know like some type of like little squeezy you know I don't even know how to explain inside of like the bridge of her nose and so the doctor like looked up in there and like the cut that was in that it had been done it was so smooth it was like a ah laser almost and the doctor said that it made no sense that it had like healed properly and that it had healed that quickly because it had only been just last night um

25:36.07

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Mm hmm.

25:37.05

stopppp

So they they put this object inside of the woman's nose. Now, the point that I was going to make is that she's just a regular, regular, regular woman. Now, one thing that I did notice about a lot of these women is that they don't have a husband. That's kind of scary, the it because it's like, ooh, creepy. Like, where are they going to get me? And they do seem to go for people who are not coupled.

26:00.04

stopppp

If you haven't noticed, and I don't think anybody's put it together, but a lot of times when the the alien comes, it'll come for somebody who's not in a relationship, but not always. I mean, now that I think about it, a couple of of them did have, you know, significant others, but I think sleeping alone, um, is, is like a little bit more drawing to the, and to the aliens, almost said animals, but I feel like they, they look for somebody's alone.

26:26.65

Lost in the Groove Podcast

some people some people believe that REM sleep that when your body enters whatever we call like the sleep mode we could be until entering a realm you know our bodies do produce chemicals

26:40.62

stopppp

Yeah Oh, I believe that shit

26:48.76

Lost in the Groove Podcast

such as diamethal tryptamine DMT is one prime example. So we may as perceive his dreams or deep sleep may as well be like us going to that other realm like bro possible I did I ever did ever

27:05.34

stopppp

it's still our perspective My dreams are fucking incredible. So fascinating. I gotta tell you about a weird dream I have after you tell me your thing.

27:16.76

Lost in the Groove Podcast

I, the most wildest, deep dream I had was where I woke up and then I was like, no, this is real.

27:27.61

Lost in the Groove Podcast

No, this is a dream. No, this is real.

27:30.22

stopppp

Oh.

27:30.81

Lost in the Groove Podcast

And I was ah basically in an office building and there was a hallway and there was no windows. There was just doors and they were all locked.

27:42.13

Lost in the Groove Podcast

and it was like a square. So you'd walk around and it was just all around the elevators.

27:47.19

stopppp

Mmm, you're like trapped, dude.

27:50.43

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Yeah, like the elevators, there was doors, but they were like smooth. Like there was no gap at all. So you could press the button, but there was no doors to open. I swear, like for a millisecond, like there was a point there. I actually thought that was real.

28:09.82

Lost in the Groove Podcast

You know, like, there are things that your mind will do.

28:12.55

stopppp

Well yeah, seems real.

28:15.40

Lost in the Groove Podcast

OK, tell me your weird dream while eating chips. Now I want another Chessman. No, tell me your weird.

28:20.91

stopppp

I'm done.

28:22.16

Lost in the Groove Podcast

No, tell me your weird.

28:23.06

stopppp

No, I'll tell you the dream, but I'm not gonna eat the chips.

28:26.65

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Oh, shit. but i swear They look good, though. Those are blue corn tortilla chips.

28:32.21

stopppp

Oh my god, I love blue corn tortilla chips.

28:35.35

Lost in the Groove Podcast

And ranch, you're dipping them in.

28:37.35

stopppp

No.

28:37.79

Lost in the Groove Podcast

No, queso.

28:39.02

stopppp

Yeah, in case of, look.

28:42.69

Lost in the Groove Podcast

super dip in chips. Wow. Not only are there tortillas, they're super dip in chips.

28:49.21

stopppp

Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon?

28:54.55

Lost in the Groove Podcast

bo You are like trying to like sway yourself away from telling your weird dream.

28:55.98

stopppp

That's Pocahontas.

28:59.43

stopppp

She's my favorite Disney princess out of it.

29:05.92

stopppp

Okay, my weird dream, I'll tell you, it was weird as fuck.

29:06.21

Lost in the Groove Podcast

I see this.

29:08.52

stopppp

Okay, so like, it was pretty short, but like not, but pretty short. And so in my dream, it's like reality. and it's like normal time and I'm looking down at my belly button ring and something about the top of my belly button ring had like pulled through and was just like in my skin and I was like oh and so I was like oh that's okay I can push it

29:40.99

stopppp

back up through and it'll be fine you know and then I'll clean it and it's gonna hurt like a motherfucking bitch but like I can do it you know and I was like yeah it felt real like I could feel my belly button ring had like gone like down I'm like I don't know if

29:50.42

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Okay, this isn't the dream though, but like, did you feel like this was real?

30:03.11

stopppp

mater Okay so here it is and in my dream the top part had gone like in and it was like in there under my skin and I was like ooh and I grabbed it and I pulled it and when I pulled it it flipped and my belly button opened up okay

30:04.44

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Yeah.

30:26.08

stopppp

And in my belly button opened. And I was like, oh! I was like, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh! And it like hurt so bad. And then it kind of like stuff from the inside of my stomach started to like come out.

30:43.93

stopppp

And I like bent over and I was like, Oh, and I like tried to like hold it all in. It was the craziest dream, man. And like, I was like, I like looked down at the phone and I was like, Oh my God, I have to go to work.

30:54.39

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Damn.

31:00.78

stopppp

And I I know it.

31:01.90

Lost in the Groove Podcast

What?

31:03.44

stopppp

Obviously this is.

31:03.84

Lost in the Groove Podcast

You were like worried about work while your guts are coming out of your fucking belly button?

31:08.85

stopppp

Yeah, it was because my my job will just like fire me if I'm ever not there for any reason at all.

31:14.04

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Damn, your subconscious was on your ass.

31:15.60

stopppp

And that's probably... I'm having a really, really bad stress dream that's probably work related, which is why I had this, you know, thing happen with all of it coming out.

31:33.09

stopppp

i I get really stressed about how I just have to be there like all the goddamn time and I can never leave for any excuse ever. And it's just like kind of scary.

31:45.86

stopppp

Cause it's just, it's a lot.

31:46.28

Lost in the Groove Podcast

You wonder if you want you wonder if like the aliens are surveilling us and like watching us do all these things.

31:52.91

stopppp

I don't know. My fucking stomach like busted open then I was gonna have to go to work because I go to work all the time and I was like fuck you know and so I got in the car and I drove to the emergency room.

32:11.49

stopppp

but I drove to like the urgent care, which was like right down the street. And I was like, are you guys going to be able to help me? Or do I need to get back in the car and go down to like the hospital?

32:24.76

stopppp

And like when I finally got to talk to somebody, they were like, Oh yeah, we don't know how to help you with like guts bursting out of your belly button. That's a different type of thing. Like we don't do that here.

32:35.49

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Wait a minute, you you were able to vividly imagine driving to the, oh my God, this is wild.

32:35.61

stopppp

And yeah, yeah. all of it. And even the doctor like rejecting me and telling me that like they couldn't really do anything and that I would have to like drive back down. I'm like driving myself around and like at one point I was like, just look at it. Just look at it. It can't be that bad. Like how bad can it really be? And I was like, you need to look at it because you need to know how bad it is. And I was like, and I go to like look down and I was like, no, no. And I was like, don't look at it. I'm like driving in my dream. And I was like, Chrissa,

33:09.63

stopppp

just tough it out and see how bad it really is. So I like looked down and there's like these like guts kind of like coming out and I was like, oh, it's bad. It's bad. I was like, it's really bad.

33:21.91

stopppp

And I was like, this is not gonna be okay. And I was like, are they so fucked up?

33:24.50

Lost in the Groove Podcast

No, it's not.

33:27.97

Lost in the Groove Podcast

It's bad. This should be a movie. This should be like a.

33:32.37

stopppp

No, I read about it. Like, I went online and I like read like, you know, if there's like, well, like there's a lot of different people that have analyzed like different dreams and something that was quite interesting was I found like, there's a Muslim a dream translator.

33:38.81

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Dr. Google, of course.

33:52.51

stopppp

Now do they do dream translation in Judaism? They do.

34:00.47

Lost in the Groove Podcast

particularly Sephardic Jews, um but some. This is some sex. so mo like For example, Moroccan Jews, we we do.

34:07.54

stopppp

So...

34:10.22

Lost in the Groove Podcast

But the way that they do it is they ask you a a series of questions. And they'll usually, like they'll be like um rabbinical texts and scholars and things, and they'll like find a passage and connect it.

34:28.00

Lost in the Groove Podcast

like a few of them and like read them out and then read and like, it kind of gives you the answer. Eddie, that's how I remember, but yeah, go on, I'm sorry.

34:37.07

stopppp

No, I'm just curious. And what I read online kind of said that, like, you know, I mean, I know in general that dreams are representations more or less of things and your brain processing emotions that it didn't have time to work through, you know, different shit like that. But I kind of feel like

35:03.63

stopppp

I kind of feel like what I read more or less was that they felt like something that's very personal to you, something that's like internal, something that's very valuable. They kind of like explained like your organs coming out of your body as like something really, really important to you, like being like taken away from you and like not being like secure anymore.

35:31.68

stopppp

So like I guess like loss, but like they said it would specifically be like your income, like your like money, like your stability, being like, we as your guts, your entrails, they said, or are your guts.

35:40.82

Lost in the Groove Podcast

is your guts. It's like your blood is your money.

35:48.86

stopppp

And it was very interesting. Like it had like all this stuff that broke it down.

35:51.27

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Wait a minute, did you make it to the hospital in the end?

35:53.05

stopppp

It was like,

35:57.17

stopppp

I woke up before I got to the hospital and I never did get it like fixed or whatever. I woke up instead.

36:04.04

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Damn, it would have been really cool to like for you to finish the dream, you know what I mean?

36:08.78

stopppp

I don't know why it didn't happen.

36:09.44

Lost in the Groove Podcast

To get all the parts.

36:13.62

stopppp

Like why I didn't finish the dream. I just kind of kept driving.

36:15.78

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Maybe you couldn't like could be you could imagine like the hospital.

36:20.97

stopppp

But I remember like the next day trying to like analyze the dream really heavily. And I'll tell you the one thing that I thought was really strange was um that when I went to the doctor to see um if they could help me, like the first time I went to the urgent care and I was like, this is too serious for here. I'm probably going to have to go down to the hospital. And they said they couldn't help me.

36:47.51

stopppp

um I tried to track back because they always say try to remember the people that are in your dream um and that'll like tell you a lot and I tried to track back what that person looks like and That person is a person from my current classroom. So it's one of my newer students and so And I've tracked back, you know, like what did they say to me? I'm sorry. I can't help you and I was like, oh

37:17.69

stopppp

I feel abandoned.

37:18.28

Lost in the Groove Podcast

when yeah How recent was this dream?

37:22.71

stopppp

I think last week I had it. I feel abandoned by my last class.

37:25.53

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Wow, so this...

37:28.85

stopppp

Like I feel like my last class left me and they can't help me anymore. And I realized like, no, just that, that one,

37:34.33

Lost in the Groove Podcast

So all the people in this dream were from your last class.

37:42.35

stopppp

No, like the the person, there's only one person in my dream.

37:44.40

Lost in the Groove Podcast

What about the other people?

37:48.77

stopppp

The.

37:48.95

Lost in the Groove Podcast

What do you mean? You just went straight to urgent care?

37:52.83

stopppp

Yeah, there isn't anything else.

37:53.77

Lost in the Groove Podcast

You didn't talk to like the front desk?

37:56.59

stopppp

I mean, if there was a front desk person, I don't remember a front desk person. I remember going into the back and there's kind of like a nurse character and she represents my new class, my new group of students.

38:09.63

stopppp

um And then. I realized that the reason that my new group of students couldn't help me is because they truly are no help to me.

38:23.69

stopppp

like they're they're quite difficult like in the beginning not like hard hard but like you know they're they have no help and in any way to me like and my old students were like i train them to an extent where like they're helpful um and then the new ones they come in and it's like i don't know what to do and it's stressful like you're like ah crap like i need everybody's help again and i need to teach them how to help me

38:55.59

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Not help themselves, you know? The whole purpose of the students is to help the teacher and nobody else. Plain and simple. Right?

39:06.62

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Right.

39:06.66

stopppp

No, I mean, no, I just I noticed that like I felt some type of loss.

39:08.09

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Oh.

39:10.90

Lost in the Groove Podcast

I was i was being sarcastic and weird and Dave, yeah.

39:15.17

stopppp

I felt some type of loss. And I noticed that like I feel not that like they burden me or something, but like, you know, it's just 15 people that have are of no help to me.

39:29.95

stopppp

No, I really do feel like I've got all these people around me and no one can help me.

39:30.13

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Yeah.

39:38.02

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Yeah.

39:39.41

stopppp

Yeah, it's just me.

39:42.16

Lost in the Groove Podcast

It can do that shit to you, honestly. I mean, it's like.

39:47.72

stopppp

I mean, you helped me and my boyfriend and my parents, but otherwise, all these people around me, nobody can help me.

39:56.67

Lost in the Groove Podcast

Sometimes the only person you can help is your is help yourself.

40:00.33

Dave lennon

Lost in the Groove is my space to explore the real, raw, and unexpected. I started this podcast because I was tired of feeling like nothing ever changes. My therapist once suggested, I write letters to the government to express my frustrations. Then I thought, "Why not create a podcast instead?" Here, I can talk about what I want, with whoever I want, no matter their beliefs. For me, it's about having honest conversations,. Breaking down walls, and getting people to think beyond the surface.

I grew up in a blue-collar family in the suburbs outside New York City, raised as an Orthodox Jew. Leaving the religious community in 2017 was a pivotal moment for me. It allowed me to embrace my identity as an artist, and chart my own path. Who I am today, and what this podcast represents, is deeply tied to my journey. Leaving a community that was a cult; still is. Discovering authenticity, creativity, and independence in myself.

I’m a car enthusiast, an artist, and someone who thrives on creative expression. From old-school rap, and psychedelic rock. To vintage muscle cars and European classics. I’m all about the things that inspire passion.
My co-host, Karissa Andrews, joins me for American Groove. Our segment on stoner culture, and life’s weirder twists. She’s an incredibly talented makeup artist, aesthetician, and candle maker. She brings a spice, pizazz, and realness to every conversation.

This podcast isn’t about chasing fame or conforming to trends, it’s about the experience. I want listener, whether they’re driving home, cooking, or just unwinding. To feel like they’re part of something real. Lost in the Groove is my way of staying true to myself, while connecting with others. learning, and having fun along the way.
