Episode #92: Peace of Mind - Save us A.I

This segment of Lost in the Groove is a deep dive, meaning the content we cover in this episode can be graphic and disturbing for some listeners.

By far, one of the deepest dives we have done for Peace of mind to start our prompt is A. I art such as NFT, virtual reality art simulations such a virtual experience of tripping on mushrooms. With that, this is the breakdown of the episode.

Part l: 0:00 - 45:30

How can A.I rewrite history and examine how people have rewritten history without modern technology. Instead of rejecting new advancements in tech, we should embrace them. As an artist, getting used to digital art opened me up to new drawing methods I could not use with pen and paper.

Part ll: 45:30 - 90:00

We are creating art channeling thru your depression, anger, and fear. Some of the most famous artists use that channel and do not succumb to the temptation. Eli was listing to a podcast, "Root of Evil," available on apple podcasts which is all about Dr. George Hodel, a serial killer and a figure in the surrealist group and close friends with Man Ray—going over the story of his killing of the Black Dalihia and his way of expressing the art form thru murder. Tieng this story that took place 80 years ago to now, serial killers and people that psychotic if they can build programs within artificial intelligence that's where can become very dangerous—keeping in mind it's not the A.I is not the only problem. It's also the creator behind it.

Part lll: 90:00 - 94:30

Taking a deeper step, I mention an episode I saw on American horror stories where this film would mentally make you go rapid to the point where people do a master slaughter of one another. It's a TV show, so it's fiction, buts an idea of where our minds can have a hard time understanding what is real when you take the metaverse, a virtual reality where you can be whatever you want. It's hard for some people to want to be in the real world 24/7. So it's an escape with ultimate possibilities.

Part lV: 94:30 - 98:00

We finish off on all the Rat pillows Eli made throughout the episode. The Underland critters are available for purchase on Instagram: @eli_nerat_underland

Eli is on TikTok and posts the Underland creations there:

Lost in the Groove is my space to explore the real, raw, and unexpected. I started this podcast because I was tired of feeling like nothing ever changes. My therapist once suggested, I write letters to the government to express my frustrations. Then I thought, "Why not create a podcast instead?" Here, I can talk about what I want, with whoever I want, no matter their beliefs. For me, it's about having honest conversations,. Breaking down walls, and getting people to think beyond the surface.

I grew up in a blue-collar family in the suburbs outside New York City, raised as an Orthodox Jew. Leaving the religious community in 2017 was a pivotal moment for me. It allowed me to embrace my identity as an artist, and chart my own path. Who I am today, and what this podcast represents, is deeply tied to my journey. Leaving a community that was a cult; still is. Discovering authenticity, creativity, and independence in myself.

I’m a car enthusiast, an artist, and someone who thrives on creative expression. From old-school rap, and psychedelic rock. To vintage muscle cars and European classics. I’m all about the things that inspire passion.
My co-host, Karissa Andrews, joins me for American Groove. Our segment on stoner culture, and life’s weirder twists. She’s an incredibly talented makeup artist, aesthetician, and candle maker. She brings a spice, pizazz, and realness to every conversation.

This podcast isn’t about chasing fame or conforming to trends, it’s about the experience. I want listener, whether they’re driving home, cooking, or just unwinding. To feel like they’re part of something real. Lost in the Groove is my way of staying true to myself, while connecting with others. learning, and having fun along the way.
